"DAT for schools" (Differential Aptitude Test) is a test concerning vocational organization that has previously been standardised in the US, Canada, Australia, Ireland and that has been translated into Greek.

The test was first published in 1947; revisions appeared in the US in 1962, 1972, 1980, 1990. each of the revisions has been directed primarily at improving and updating the content and the normative information.

This test assess eight important aptitudes: verbal reasoning, numerical reasoning, abstract reasoning, perceptual speed and accuracy, mechanical reasoning, space relations, spelling and language usage.

The eight tests within the DAT bear a relationship to different courses of study, career fields and occupations.
